Swimming Etiquette
Arrive on time for class dressed in your swimming costume and cap on your head; or arrive 10 minutes early to change into your swimming gear in the changing rooms.
Use the toilet and blow your nose before the lesson begins.
Wait in the viewing area while the class before yours finishes.
Never get in the water without asking your teacher.
No running. The floors are slippery please be careful.
No eating or drinking around or in the pool. Eating before a lesson is not advised. It may cause discomfort or you may feel sick.
Respect teachers and fellow swimmers. Do not disturb the class.
Please bring your own swim goggles, cap and towel.
For Mermaiding you will need a nose clip.
Please tidy up after yourself.
Ensure babies & toddlers wear nappies & waterproofing at all times.
Put your child’s swimming cap on their heads and blow snotty noses before classes.
Please have a towel ready and collect your child from the pool when they are done with their lesson. Hair dryers are provided please dry your child especially on colder days.
Siblings and friends are not allowed in the pool unattended and we do not take responsibility for unattended children; on the playground as well as in the pool.
Please shower and wash your hair before using the pool especially if you are using hair products.
