Swimming can help stressed out kids
July 29, 2021Mermaiding Workshop
September 20, 2021Enter the magic world of bubbles, colours, movement, sounds, splashes and songs – building on the four main areas of development – motor (physical) language and communication, cognitive and social/emotional. Enjoy the holistic and healing sensation of water with your baby in a warm environment. Expanding, exposing, building and fostering growth. There’s more to water activities and water play.
With gentle guidance your baby will enjoy the comfort and safety of mom or dad and water as they move their arms while kicking their legs, creating billions of new neurons in the brain. Enjoy a safe place for baby to explore their balance and coordination in and out of the water too – so less bumps as they learn to stand on their own two feet. Being in the water helps your baby move independently before they can crawl or walk and its a safe place for them to explore their growth assisting with key development milestones – physically and cognitively, assisting with attention, memory, logic and reasoning, auditory, visual processing and social skills. Think, listen, learn, understand, problem solving, question – all comes to play amongst the splashes of water.
Here your baby is encouraged through water to use both sides of the body to help carry out an action, helping your baby’s brain grow, registering the tactile sensation of water plus its resistance. This movement builds development throughout the brain stimulating communication and feedback which helps in all learning areas down the road – language development, academic learning and spatial awareness. Splashing and gliding is not just bonding its building your baby holistically.
As a study indicated at Griffith University in Australia suggests children who swim have advances in physical and mental development.
Learn the tricks and techniques in this workshop and help your baby with their early childhood development.
